Our Humble Purpose
The goal of the writings posted here is to create a place where ideas can examined and wrestled with through debate and discussion. Civil and honest discourse is vital in a constitutional republic and has been replaced by yelling, screaming, and name calling.
Our goals at Reality is Undefeated are: First, we hope to shed light on the absurdity of many proposed or enacted solutions/policies that are complete fraudulent and whose main goal is not to solve the problem, but create the illusion that the problem is being solved so that those in power can remain in power. This total buffoonery is perpetuated by a media that has become more about propagating their own agenda then reporting the news in a factual manner (this is a grave threat to our democracy).
While it is easy to cast dispersion on other’s ideas (the shear amount of virtue signaling along with the clownery of our elected officials make it easy - thank you California for continuing to lead in this area), it is more difficult to come up with real, workable solutions. The second part of our mission is to propose ideas that hopefully start a robust and tthought provoking discussion about the issue and viable solutions (not just ones that the powerful and the media try to push).
We are solution-centric as opposed to being party-centric. If a solution works and improves a particular situation, it is irrelevant which party proposed it. It would be nice of our politicians acted like this instead of an entitled 2 year old throwing a tantrum (no offence to an actual entitled 2 year olds).
The goal of the “Our Modest Proposal” is to cause the reader to evaluate the ideas and mentally percolate on the ideas set forth. In modern society our minds are always occupied and this prevents us from wrestling with important ideas/solutions.
When our schema is challenged, this can be very uncomfortable (our society has become very good at avoiding this discomfort by relying on media and social media that already conforms to our beliefs). In addition, we need time and space to wrestle through the disequilibrium brought on by ideas that conflict with the ideas/beliefs we hold. During this mental wrestling match, we construct a revised schema or strengthen an existing one.
We need to regain this posture as a nation, as a people, and as a society. It is the duty/responsibility of being a citizen in our nation. If more people adopt this posture we will have a strong, healthier country.
This is not the absence of conflict, it is the ability to rationally and respectfully discuss our differences and work toward the best solution. As a society, we need to get back to the ability to discuss issues with open minds and without personal attacks or smears. If an idea is sound and based in reality, then the ideas supports itself on its own merits.
As you read and digest our critiques and proposals, it is our hope that it will cause you to examine, reflect, and wrestle with ideas and we hope this leads to civil discussions with others to further refine each individual's thoughts and viewpoints.
